Hello! I’m Robin (she/her/ella), a 1st generation Mexican-American, Bilingual, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a mental health therapist, I incorporate a social justice perspective. I acknowledge that oppression exists and negatively contributes to the emotional/mental health of historically marginalized people and aim to serve these populations. I use a holistic approach that takes culture into consideration to aid in restoring the mind-body-spirit. I facilitate healing through the holding of sacred space where your entirety is welcomed, witnessed, held, and explored. In this space we work on acceptance, healing, empowerment, and re-visioning. Via this process you will gain tools and develop the capacity to effectively cope with life stressors. My hope for you is an increased understanding of self, purpose, resilience, and presence.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Southern California (USC) with a concentration in Families and Children and a sub-concentration in Child Welfare and a BA in Sociology with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from California State University Los Angeles (CSULA). My background includes experience in program coordination, case management and direct services in affordable housing, child welfare, residential treatment, and community/school mental health with parents, women, and children/teens/transitional-aged youth. As a mental health therapist/social worker, I am committed to providing accessible, trauma-informed, culturally responsive services from a strength-based perspective.
